We recently completed an installation of Master Floors SPC luxury vinyl flooring in the color Versailles. Every room was unified with a consistent and beautiful hardwood style flooring. Regarding the safety of this floor it is CARB II Compliant for formaldehyde content. You don’t have to worry about spills because it is 100% water proof. Keep in mind that the rest of the flooring could still sustain water damage, areas like the baseboards and subfloor should be immediately dried after a spill. The click and lock construction of this LVP flooring makes it possible to remove sections of a floor so that clean-up can be made to the subfloor in the event of a spill. For a consistent beautiful look, all 4 sides of each plank are micro beveled and there is no paint. The thickness is a sturdy 8.0 mm. The top wear layer is the maximum industry standard of 20 mil for a tough and scratch-resistant surface. The bottom pad is EVA an expanded rubber foam padding that when combined with an expert installation will make a quiet floor.
